Fay to hit Florida
Tropical Storm Fay is due to strike South Florida later today, possibly as a Hurricane of category 1 or 2 strength. Governor Crist has issued a State of Emergency over the weekend and the Florida National Guard are at the ready.
A tropical storm warning is in effect along the Florida east coast from Uupiter inlet southward, and along the Florida west coast from Bonita Beach southward, including Lake Okeechobee. A tropical storm warning means that tropical storm conditions are expected within the warning area within the next 24 hours.
